There is so much growth that students will make if they reflect on their choices, actions, and words. After students had their first assessment in my class, I asked them to reflect on what they did well and what they would do differently next time. #iitblbchat

A2: One significant way that we can develop empathy in our students is by modeling it ourselves. #iitblbchat

A3: I allow my students to become leaders when working on their science symposium project. They make choices about the work they do and how they proceed. Allowing them to take the lead and possibly fail is difficult but ultimately a worthwhile lesson. #iitblbchat

A4: As a parent, I truly understand that one size does not fit all. I am mindful of the many ways that students learn incorporating multiple means of engagement in everyday. I stress to students that grades do not define them, willingness to work hard says much more. #iitblbchat

A5: I know that the most heartbreaking aspect of school this year is the inability to attend everyday. What we are asking our students to do is a tremendous, challenging and lonely task. 11 yr olds want to be social & interact, this is a heartbreaking time for them. #iitblbchat

A6: I will teach students to reflect and grow from experiences. Encourage them to get involved, find what makes them feel good and explore it. Student confidence is paramount to success. #iitblbchat

A6 The reason I got into this profession is because I had an amazing 2nd grade teacher at Lindell Elementary School that was ALWAYS kind to me, no matter what silly thing I said or did. I was so fortunate to work with her at the start of my time at LBMS. #IITBLBChat
