Essex Cricket is deeply saddened to learn of the death of former player, Robin Hobbs who passed away on Sunday, aged 81. Robin played 325 first-class matches for Essex between 1961-75, taking 763 wickets. Our thoughts are with Robin’s son Nick and his family.

Met Essex ACO invite you to an umpires and scorers CPD session on using DLS. This training session will take place on Monday 20th May (note new date) at Chingford Cricket Club at 7.30pm. The session is designed to provide officials with some understanding of how DLS works.

The much anticipated work to refurbish our indoor net facility will commence on Monday 13th May 2024. The last day for using the indoor net facility will be Sunday 12th May 2024. It is expected that the facility will be reopened around the end of June 2024.

This Sunday we will be showing the UEFA European Championship 2024 Final between Spain and England kicking off at 20:00 but before that, we host Boxmoor Cricket Club in a top of the table clash which starts at 13:00; both events are not to be missed, bar will be open from 16:00
