"There's a great poster you should see!" 🤩 "Ooh, where is it?" 🤔 "Just look for the pink one." 😀 I don't think anyone would doubt which poster it was.

“Donations” like these need to be called out for what they are - bribes. This £5 million bung to the Conservative Party is to access political influence, power & lucrative government contracts that outsource NHS care into private hands. It stinks. theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

Afghan women earned the right to vote in 1919, a year before women in the U.S. could. Behind me is Queen Soraya of Afghanistan, who led the charge for women’s suffrage. We come from fierce, powerful women. This is the Afghanistan I want the world to know. It’s what we fight for.

Memo to Suella Braverman MP: rolling back refugee rights, refusing to set up safe & legal routes, trashing international obligations, & failing to address a record Home Office backlog of your Govt's making, is not a refugee policy "fit for the modern age". theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

The NHS is by no means perfect, but no one in the UK has ever been declared bankrupt because of medical bills. Yet. We must never take our NHS for granted - please RT if you agree.

Succinct - Clear - Factual We haven't got enough money to spend £1-£2bn a year paying Drs, but we can find £8bn a year to cut a tax that's only paid by the richest 4% Ben Kentish points out the flaw in the Govt’s claim that the UK can't afford a pay rise

If a pipe gets blocked in your house overnight and causes an emergency, you’d pay £75 an hour to an emergency plumber to diagnose and fix it. If one of the arteries going to your heart gets blocked and causes an emergency overnight, the doctor that comes to fix it is paid £26

🧵My best friend (Black woman) & I were pregnant at the same time 18 yrs ago. We both had preeclampsia, hers undiagnosed as her symptoms were written off. I was put on bed rest & hospitalized. She was told to relax. A week after she gave birth, the day my son was born, she died.
