This week La Promesa our students competed at regional history fair. I’m very proud of our groups that submitted projects and especially excited to see our previous state competitors advance once again to state! Aldine ISD Deborah Johnson #AldineImpact


This week La Promesa our Economics students shared their research and conclusions on “Renting Vs Buying” They demonstrated their knowledge in either a presentation or debate and I was most impressed by their desire to learn about #PersonalFinance! Aldine ISD #AldineImpact


This week La Promesa our seniors presented their last socialstudies projects in front of administrators and parents. As part of their economics class, they had to create a business and many of their ideas were original and inspired! Aldine ISD #AldineImpact


This week in world history students learned about the causes of WWI using Ellevation Education "my monologue" activity. Students were drafted and wrote their loved ones letters "from the trenches".


La Promesa history fair students got to show off their skills and knowledge to judges at the National History Day #texashistoryday competition. They explored the city of Austin and witnessed some great performances by other students. Deborah Johnson Christopher Martinez #AldineImpact

Do you know how compound interest works? This week La Promesa during an internet outage our Econ students presented on key finance topics such as loans, identity theft and types of savings! Aldine ISD #AldineImpact


This week La Promesa we held our annual Culture Fest and many of our students brought food that represented their countries. I got the privilege once again to sponsor the Guatemala table. I might be bias this year, but I’m sure we had the best food! Aldine ISD #AldineImpact


This week La Promesa I had the privilege of celebrating the achievements of our U.S. History OnRamps students in which most earned college credits. I was particularly proud of our seniors who received cords. Their hard work shined through! Aldine ISD #AldineImpact


This week La Promesa I completed my 15th year Aldine ISD and celebrated the first graduating class! These students have inspired me and I am so proud to share their journey knowing that we created a community and fulfilled our promise ThankYou Fernanda F Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney


This week La Promesa we wrapped up Summer School 25. Our students took classes that will help them move closer to graduation. I am grateful for the teachers that committed to our students and our administration for trusting me to lead as site coordinator! Aldine ISD



This week La Promesa we began our 5th year. We also welcomed the class of 2026 and celebrated at our senior sunrise ☀️ It was great to to see so many students and teachers ready and full of enthusiasm for the year! Aldine ISD


So proud of our students La Promesa Over 20 students are taking the step into college. Many of them will graduate with 20 hours and some nearly 30 Hours!! What’s more amazing is that most of these students will have gone from ESL English/Math to college level in 3 years!

We are establishing traditions La Promesa Last week we celebrated our seniors with spirit days highlighted by senior adoption. Excitement was in the air as students proudly showed their certificate. Our teachers are committed to seeing our students to graduation! Aldine ISD

Yesterday La Promesa our National Honor Society inducted 11 new members. I was excited to be invited to escort one of my students! These students not only have shown academic success but also are leaders in organizations and clubs that build our school culture! Aldine ISD
