Reports of a much needed boost to NHS funding next week are extremely welcome. We’ve been calling for long-term, increased funding for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services – any new funding announcement must address this.

Less than 1% of the total NHS budget goes towards children and young people’s mental health. We need to the see the positive funding news for CAMHS we’ve been #FightingFor so that every child with a mental health problem gets the support they need youngminds.org.uk/resources/repo…

I'm not convinced, need to read more about it - I worry excessive gaming is far more commonly a symptom of another need, and making it a discrete condition in itself is unhelpful and risks muddying those discussions x.com/Gemmamburke83/…

I agree with YoungMinds, the education system needs to be rebalanced with a greater, consistent focus on wellbeing- I don't think a GCSE is the right way to go about it, drawing pass/fail links to mental health for young people feels very wrong, like it will increase stigma x.com/YoungMindsUK/s…

Make no mistake, the #ChildrenInCages policy is causing lasting, profound trauma and damage to those young people, there is no defense for this program

Fantastic #camhscelebration event this afternoon Greater Manchester Mental Health, bringing together young people from all the services, along with carers, and staff from across the trust #togetherGMMH

Across Manchester we've been working on move away from the DNA model - putting the onus on services to promote engagement for young people rather than on those young people we're trying to support #togetherGMMH x.com/DrJPMillington…

Proud to have joined Greater Manchester Mental Health ten years ago today! Honoured to have spent a decade helping people. In that time I've been a support worker, staff nurse, team leader, senior nurse on a quality improvement project and now a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner #MentalHealthMatters

I started on the V300 non-medical prescribing module today, the next step on my journey to becoming an ANP; which will ultimately see me being able to offer a more complete package of care to service users #InternationalNursesDay

I had the privilege of doing this job for almost three years. A fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to work in forensics and #CAMHS

Spoken to so many men who don’t want to die, they want to live better more productive lives, but in the knowledge they’ll go out to insecure housing, hostels full of drugs, no support. #suicide feels like only escape from terrifying cycle of #crime #prison theguardian.com/society/2019/o…

Great to see service users engaging in positive activities helping to build their skills and confidence, and at what many find a really difficult time of the year
