The Trump family stablecoin surged to 7th largest in the world because of a shady crypto deal with the United Arab Emirates—a foreign government that will give them a crazy amount of money. The Senate shouldn’t pass a crypto bill this week to facilitate this kind of corruption.

The corruption is so massive and so stunning. Many of these foreign buyers are trying to influence American foreign policy and are likely succeeding. And Trump keeps the identity of these buyers totally secret. It’s a disgrace and I just introduced a bill to ban the practice.

The Senate should not vote for any stablecoin legislation that allows Trump to continue this corruption.

Authoritarians arrest judges and legislators just for opposing the regime. That doesn't happen in democracies. Trump's agenda is so unpopular and he is so corrupt that his only option to hide the thievery and illegality is brute force. We cannot let him get away with it.
