The schedule of ceremonies to honor the life of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has been announced. It will begin after the Thanksgiving holiday. #11Alive

.JoJo Johnson and I will be LIVE on 11Alive News Monday morning ahead of the wreath laying ceremony outside the Rosalynn Carter Health & Sciences Complex on the Georgia Southwestern State campus. The public is invited to attend but must be in place an hour before 11am start.

A reverent silence descended on the crowd as the motorcade rolled into view on campus for the wreath laying. A couple hundred people from the community gathered, holding signs and waving American flags.

Flowers, wreaths, gifts and notes sprinkle the ground around the sign of The Carter Presidential Center. The motorcade will leave from here around noon today for a private service at a church on Emory’s campus. Pres. Carter is expected to attend. We’re live on 11Alive News

The The Carter Center staff all came outside to line the circle of flags to watch Mrs. Carter’s casket leave the Center one last time. Each flag is at half staff in preparation for the motorcade to leave around 11:30am. #11Alive
