Fall is the season for conferences! Yesterday, the Boston Children's GI Division held an exciting all-day research retreat. With the encouragement of division/ fellowship leaders and the amazing support of faculty to cover the hospital, all GI fellows were invited to attend!

Another fun day for our Boston Children's GI fellows! Thanks to our friends at Brigham and Women's Hospital GI, 11 of our fellows participated in the annual BWH endoscopy course! Next stop- the highly anticipated NASPGHAN endoscopy sessions for fellows at the annual meeting in November!

Tomorrow, a new Boston Children’s GI Fellows Olympics winning team will be crowned! T-shirts and secret team names have been created. Who will win in the “GI Fellowship Thunderdome?” In these final moments, let’s remember the 2023 winning team “Happy Golytely!” GAME ON!

The 2024 Boston Children's Children’s GI Fellows Olympics Team winner for the 2nd year in a row is…Happy Golytely! We had so much fun in this #MedEd event of relay advanced endoscopic simulation skills, near-peer (blind folded) teaching and boards review! Until next year!

New workshop alert! On behalf of the NASPGHAN Med Ed SIG and course co-director Jessica Rutsky, I am thrilled to announce this new Job interview Coaching Workshop program for NASPGHAN GI fellows who will be graduating fellowship in June 2026! Application deadline is April 28.

It was so exciting to see our multitalented friend and NASPGHAN co-councilor Peter L. Lu, MD, MS as the Boston Children's motility visiting professor today! His state-of-the-art talk on neurostimulation was not to be missed!

Today was a liver lovers dream! It was an honor to welcome Dr. Estella Alonso from Lurie Children’s to be the 1st annual Maureen Jonas Visiting Professor lecturer in hepatology and to also welcome Maureen back for the day! Loved having everyone back together again!

Happy GI/ Advanced Fellowship Graduation Day! Thank you to fellowship alum and Stanford University faculty Jennifer Woo Baidal for being our visiting professor. Congrats to our graduates and teaching/ mentor faculty of the year awardees Athos Bousvaros and Allison Wu!

Today we welcomed our 5 new 1st GI fellows and 5 advanced program trainees to the Boston Children's GI division! The fun continues tomorrow with day 1 of 3 of our GI fellows orientation!!
