I was the Chief of Staff for Joe Biden on the 2012 reelection and traveled around the country with him. He empowered women on his staff and was alway supportive of us. Not only did fight for women through the policies he advocated, he treated women on his team with full respect.
Accounts run by men receive roughly double the retweets of those run by women. Even online, we are talked for and talked over. Even online, menās voices carry twice as much worth. It matters. When you see women writing about things that interest you, retweet us. Itās that simple.
Blindly worshipping those who have a lot of power over you because youāre scared and you need them doesnāt make them nicer to you. It just makes them less accountable. Worshipping doctors during a pandemic, soldiers during a war, or politicians during an emergency is dangerous.
