I've cleaned up this gorgeous Victorian photograph of Dickensian London, overshadowed by the sheer magnitude & dominance of St Paul's Cathedral. It was photographed by John Leighton 166 years ago, back in 1859. I think the mooring poles in the foreground almost lend a Venetian

This door at Eastwood church in Essex dates from about 1150, which is extremely rare. The hinge has an inscription which (more or less) says ‘blessings on those who come and go’.
