The Smith Park Mountain Bike Trail is officially open. The City of Brentwood hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning, April 27, at the park.

The city will close Old Smyrna Road at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, for the removal of a large tree. Work is expected to be completed, and the road reopened, by 2:30 p.m.

Work crews will trim and remove trees on Murray Lane Monday, Sept. 23, through Wednesday, Sept. 25. Motorists should expect delays with alternating lane closures. Public Works staff will be onsite to provide traffic control.

The Brentwood High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27. Granny White Park, McGavock Road, and Murray Lane will be closed from 8:30-10 a.m., but vehicles will be able to travel east on Murray Lane.

On Oct. 7, the city will close a lane at Granny White Pike and Virginia Way to install a traffic signal near Brentwood Academy. The work will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and should take three days. Flaggers will be at the site to keep traffic flowing through this area.

Brentwood Public Works vehicles are currently salting roads throughout the city. Residents are encouraged to stay home as it will take several hours for crews to address these icy conditions.

All City of Brentwood parks and the John P. Holt Brentwood Library will be closed tomorrow due to the incoming winter storm.

The John P. Holt Brentwood Library will be closed Saturday, Jan. 11. Brentwood parks will be open from noon-7 p.m. on Saturday.

The John P. Holt Brentwood Library and Brentwood city parks will be closed today, Feb. 19, because of inclement weather.

The John P. Holt Brentwood Library will reopen on Thursday, Feb. 20, during normal operating hours. Brentwood parks will be open on Thursday until 7 p.m.
