Here it is again, the quote. We’re focussing today on the broader patient experience. Frank, our patient liaison nurse is up now. Extraordinary how our approach has moved on from just doing technical things to patients. Barts and The London, Queen Mary Barts Health Barts and The London, Queen Mary

What an incredible campaign. Every young person deserves to be supported, inspired and empowered. So pleased to see Organisations like St Giles Redthread recognised in this campaign. Every young person needs an opportunity, a way out.

And we salute you. You go with pride, dignity and the respect of all who work with and for you. You have exemplified leadership with integrity and humanity. Contrasting the cowardice shown by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan yet again blaming someone else to protect himself.

How to summarise so many invaluable learning points!?!…What does success look like? Patient dies=defeat? Optimum care, good working, care to family and friends. How to deal with pressure - focus on process not the outcome. Need to pre-brief to debrief. The team is everything!

And the Specialist Firearms Command MPS medic training team constantly run high fidelity training scenarios that are operationally relevant and medically accurate to ensure the medics deliver the best care possible whenever it might be needed.

Thanks for an excellent summary Sean Brayford-Harris and for all your work getting this over the line with us. Really super excited about the chance to help save lives in future incidents with this tool!

This is absolutely one of the reasons for the ā€˜CPR if resources allow’ in our new ten second triage tool. Preventable causes of death such as compression / crush / traumatic asphyxia eg at hillsborough which could be amenable to CPR if performed rapidly (and safe to do so)

Awesome to see the Welsh fronting all the important discussions around major incidents #walesprepared First class line-up. The honesty and openness of the discussions is refreshing, as well as the willingness to change and learn. Lots the capital can learn from these events.

TST is for medical responders as well in the early stages of an incident. All responders to use the same tool and speak the same language! Obviously none of this replaces intuitive triage for senior clinicians at any stage.

Specialist Firearms Command MPS & Tower Hamlets Police officers found the victim of a stabbing on Wednesday night. The ARV crew put their Medic training into action using Chitogauze haemostatics and direct pressure onto an arterial bleed in the young man's armpit. London's Air Ambulance Charity attended & took him to surgery

It’s such a privilege to be able to work with the medic trg team to help train all of the Specialist Firearms Command MPS officers who genuinely save lives in London every day providing the right timely first responder interventions before any ā€˜health’ responders could ever be there.

Our helicopters can get our medics to scene in 11 minutes where they can perform life-saving surgery on London’s most critically injured. But our current helicopters will be difficult to maintain beyond 2024. Here’s why we need your support to keep us in the air šŸ‘‡
