Check out the latest from the group from Mahmoud Elgaml in Inorganic Chemistry - showing how superconductivity can be controlled in Nb2PdxS5 via reversible Li intercalation. A big thank you to all of our collaborators Sunita Dey David Scanlon Grey Group ANSTO pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Our postdoc Rob is currently visiting NIMS (物質・材料研究機構) for 1 month to explore the use of high-pressure in the synthesis of mixed-anion solids - hopefully some exciting results to follow!
Latest paper from the group and Souvik’s first as the main author! A great collaboration with Sunita Dey Emmanuelle Suard Institut Laue-Langevin published in Chemistry of Materials describing a new metamagnetic material synthesised by reductive Na intercalation! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Congratulations to our Master's students Lily,Georgia, Annabel and Ella for submitting your theses! You were invaluable group members for the past year. Good luck with your future! Oxford Chemistry
Latest paper from the group by Ella Liang with help from ISIS Neutron and Muon Source Diamond Light Source Joke Hadermann Inorganic Chemistry Competition between Anion-Deficient Oxide and Oxyhydride Phases during the Topochemical Reduction of LaSrCoRuO6 | Inorganic Chemistry pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

The group has been at the European Synchrotron on ID22 hoping to correlate structures with magnetic ordering in some layered iron oxide chalcogenides this week. Big thanks to Andy Fitch for all his wisdom and advice. Stay tuned for some interesting results😎
Back at ISIS Neutron and Muon Source on GEM doing something different this week - some PDF measurements on a layered oxysulfide made by OxICFM student Lemuel Crentsil. Oxford Chemistry Thanks to David Keen for all his expertise during the experiment so far!
Latest from the group! A collaboration with University of Southampton investigating p-type conductivity in layered oxyselenides. Also a big thanks to Joke Hadermann and David Scanlon for all their input. Oxford Chemistry doi.org/10.1039/D4TC02…
🚨Latest from the group!🚨 Contrasting Magnetic Structures in the Quaternary Sulfides Ba2FeMS5 (M = Sb, Bi). Great collaboration with Stan Institut Laue-Langevin Oxford Chemistry pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
📢 Happy to share our paper on low-T structure and magnetism of Ba3Tb(BO3)3, out now! Thank you to all coauthors, especially Sian Dutton. Work done at Cavendish Laboratory, PSI Paul Scherrer Institut and ISIS Neutron and Muon Source ⚛ doi.org/10.1103/PhysRe…
📢 Now online: mixed-anion & intercalation chemistry from my postdoc Oxford Chemistry ClarkegroupOx Faraday Institution Again featuring ISIS Neutron and Muon Source data, this time from GEM 💎 doi.org/10.1039/D5DT00…
Our M1 student Kawanishi, supported by the Mixed Anion Program JST ASPIRE, stayed at ClarkegroupOx at Oxford for about four weeks as a visiting student. Take a look at his research experience!⬇️ ehcc.kyoto-u.ac.jp/eh10/wp/wp-con…
Thanks to everyone’s kindness ClarkegroupOx , I had a great time! 🇬🇧 I look forward to the next time we can meet:) If I ever go there again, I will do my best to win the GUINNESS game 🍺 haha
Kawanishi’s paper on LnSI, via our ASPIRE collaboration with Oxford ClarkegroupOx, is now out in DaltonTransactions! Polymorphic transitions-whether induced by substitution or pressure-are unified by a single key parameter: the cation-to-anion radius ratio. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
🚨Latest from the group🚨 OxICFM student Ludmila has just published her first paper titled “Competing Magnetism in Layered Mixed Transition Metal Chalcogenides KCo2–xNixSe2, KCo2–xNixS2, and CsCo2–xNixSe2” Institut Laue-Langevin ISIS Neutron and Muon Source Emmanuelle Suard doi.org/10.1021/acs.ch…
August begins with two JST ASPIRE visitors, both ClarkegroupOx alumni! Welcome Dr Nicola Kelly (Cambridge University Physics) for your visits, and your neutron scattering on orthoborates is inspiring. Also delighted to host Mr Louis Hatton for two months in Kyoto!
