Our paper on the LC site of Shakhi Kora was just published. A rather amazing site with an intriguing occupation history that suggests the development of local institutional households, followed by an Uruk one, and then the rejection of this type of centralised organisation/power.

Our new paper in Current Anthropology summarises a joyfully collaborative project to protect cultural heritage in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by engaging a wider public and making archaeology as a form of cultural heritage more accessible and enjoyable. journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/73…
