In Nursery this week, we have been learning about Santes Dwynwen. We made a Welsh love spoon using our Maths skill to make repeated patterns. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿⭐️ Da iawn pawb!

In Reception this week, we have used our DCF skills to create a Penguin picture. We have discussed that penguins live in hot and cold countries and the importance of protecting the penguin’s habitat. 🐧🌎 Da iawn pawb!

This week in Year 1 and 2, we have enjoyed completing lots of activities based around our topic ’What makes Prestatyn special?’ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿⭐️ Da iawn pawb!

Year 3 and 4 have developed Welsh number skills this week by working out the temperatures on different planets. They played bingo, found answers from a graph and played an online game! Gwaith Dda pawb! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👏⭐️

Year 6 had Dan come in and deliver a workshop on Welsh Black History. The pupils had to take part in small role play sessions to see what Betty Campbell had to endure when she was younger and what drove her to become the person she was! Da iawn pawb! ⭐️

In Foundation Phase Nurture group this week, we have been celebrating Santes Dwynwen. The children were engaged in all the activities this week. Da iawn pawb! 👏⭐️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

On Thursday, we had a surprise visit from Mr Urdd. We all dressed in red,white and green to celebrate. Thank you so much for the kind donations, we raised a total of £180.00 which will go towards the local Urdd. Diolch! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👏⭐️

Nursery are very excited to receive their new book bags kindly purchased by the PTA. We can’t thank them enough for all their hard work. Diolch! ⭐️

Reception have been learning about the ‘lifecycle of a plant’. We have planted our own seeds to use our observational skills to watch the seed grow. Ardderchog pawb! ⭐️👏🌱

Year 3 and 4 have been looking at the French alphabet this week! We enjoyed joining in with the pronunciation 🇫🇷

For homework, the children in Year 1 and 2 have made and decorated their own treasure chests, they put items which are special to them inside. They enjoyed sharing their treasures with the class 🏴‍☠️

Year 5 have been developing their catching and throwing skills for our new P.E unit, Da iawn pawb! 🏀⭐️

Year 6 have been learning how to code on our new equipment which was kindly bought for the school by our amazing PTA. We really appreciate the kind gesture and look forward to it being used across the school. 🚙

In Nursery this week, we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We enjoyed creating our own Chinese dragon dance in P.E 🐉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

In Reception this week, we have been discussing how the actions of humans can effect our turtles. What amazing writing. Da iawn pawb 🐢🌟

In Maths this week Year 1 and 2 have been looking at doubling numbers and the two times tables. Look at our beautiful butterflies we created by folding our paper to double the numbers. 🦋🔢

Year 3 and 4 have celebrated Welsh Music Day today! The children listened to Welsh music, made fact files about Welsh music artists, composed their own music, and made merchandise for our own Welsh Music festival! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🎶

Year 5 have been looking at who has shaped our political world, and created a manifesto on issues they feel strongly about. Da iawn pawb! ⭐️👏

Year 6 had a visit fron Nikki Logan - PHS - who came to speak to us about their amazing ’it stops with me’ campaign. The children learnt all about the campaign and just how important it is. Thank-you PHS.
