A 49-year-old man’s been charged with 3 counts of vehicle interference, going equipped to steal, and 3 counts of theft from motor vehicle. We received several reports from across Redcar at the weekend. He is due to appear at court this morning,

A road closure is in place on the A174 westbound between Hemlington slip road and the A19 roundabout while officers respond to a collision. We're advising drivers to please avoid the area and use alternative routes.

A689 towards #Hartlepool has a 2 mile tailback due to debris on the road, diversions are currently through Greatham village. Flatts Lane is closed on one side from Normanby to Guisborough bypass, due to fallen trees. Please take extra care if you're driving today and stay safe!

Flatts Lane between Normanby and the Guisborough bypass has now fully re-opened after fallen trees were removed. Our colleagues Hartlepool Borough Council are aware of debris on the A689 and diversions remain in place whilst this is being removed.
