Today was all about #Disabilitypride with Disability Equality North West and it was fabulous. So many people, great atmosphere, lots of love & no hate 👍❤️ #DisabilityPrideMonth Great to see lots of colleagues inc Matthew Brown Preston Mayor Preston City Council staff.

Was great to pop along to the first #DisabilityPride event in Preston today with Disability Equality North West and Mel Close in attendance. Well done to all the organisers for putting together this unique and inclusive event.

This morning I attended the funeral of Royal Navy Veteran Leevi Francis-Walmsley (D255749F)after his sudden passing last week. Packed Crematorium, inside & out inc support of our Armed Forces community helped give Leevi the dignified farewell he deserved & showed how loved he was

A lovely day #LancashireFestival Weather stayed mainly dry & it was great to see so many families enjoying the Festival, local entertainment (which was brilliant - great artists !), local businesses and even some #therapyponies ❤️

At today’s #LancashireFestival we took great comfort in dedicating a St Catherine's Hospice Lancashire #yellowribbon to Becca, who we recently, and very suddenly lost 💔 The ribbon is now in their memorial garden. A touching fundraiser for a worthy cause. #foreveryoung #family Natalie Close
