Today we launched our campaign for the Lancashire County Council elections. Years of Tory control has left our roads blighted with potholes and our services crumbling. Now it’s time for change. #Lancashire #VoteLabour #WorkingTogether4Lancs

When nearly half of all taxi licences in GM come from outside our area, you know the system of taxi licensing in England is broken. Later today we will set out proposals for major reform. Just as with buses, it’s time to take back local control. 👍🏻

We love these before and after images of Queen's Park Bridge. This 1930s structure was recently restored and repaired in a major project commissioned by us and carried out by Heywood company, BDB Special Projects Ltd. Yet another reason to visit Heywood's beautiful Queen's Park.

The Pope's coffin has been sealed. It was a private ceremony, attended by Vatican officials and some of the Pope's family members. Now that the ceremony is over, the Chapter of St Peter will hold a prayer vigil by the coffin all night, until the Pope's funeral begins tomorrow
