As the Staffordshire County Council Cabinet Member for Education, visiting schools is always a highlight. It was great to meet the staff & pupils of Crackley Bank Primary School today & to congratulate them in person on their recent good Ofstead inspection.
I had a really enjoyable ‘away day’ with Staffordshire County Council SEND Team. It was gr8t 2 open the event & talk discuss the great work they’re doing with #SENDtransformation. We r very lucky having such a dedicated group of ppl supporting our most vulnerable learners & their families

Excellent campaigning in the Stafford sunshine with Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP and Cllr Jonathan Price
Great to get out with David Williams today and see work being finished on the A34 Stone Road. Crews have completed these £1.4 million works on time despite some terrible weather, and it’s good to see residents already benefitting from smoother journeys.
On the schools front, Cllr Jonathan Price has seen the move of St Leonard's Primary School in Stafford to a new site at the former Kingston Centre, as well as the opening of a new primary school in Lichfield
More new schools are set to open next September - two in Tamworth, one in Stafford and another in Burton. Cllr Jonathan Price says £151m is being invested to deliver around 5,500 additional school places over the next five years
It is vital that autistic children and young people across Staffordshire are able to access the right school places that meet their needs. Therefore, I was pleased to attend the Let Every Child Learn event in Parliament to hear from campaigners and National Autistic Society
