The test format is unfixable as the regional and domestic competitions are low in standards. In our near 15yr dominance our top 18 or more Caribbean players played English County Cricket where the best of the best played.

In general elections campaigning you ignore the middle classes to your peril. Especially the professionals, studied, educated, careerist, young uni/college graduate, etc. The middle classes constitute a deep, wide and diversified group. And whether you understand or accept it

A good start would be amending the laws that deal with these horrible offences. However, for some reason, this is not a sexy enough (no pun intended) topic that commands attention. It appears not to be important enough to command action.

Wayne Boyd Jamaica Observer When a woman is a victim of domestic abuse, there's a tendency to discourage her from taking action against her abuser esp if its her spouse. The men are "forgiven" quickly esp by his peers. Life moves on. This norm is the wrong message from all spheres, esp our Parliament

Prominent psychiatrists have said it. A high % of Jamaicans have a personality disorder. Freddie Hickling (decd) is the leader in this area and has researched and written extensively on the subject. Check out “Owning Our Madness (2016)”. His work is both clinical & sociological.

Electoral politics 101. Government runs on its track record, not new promises. Obviously a good track record in certain areas on certain subjects will make credible new promises in that area, that subject. Opposition parties have the charge of making a case as to why electors
