Old Man Spring Football Tour began today. Dropped by PC to see coaches & the seniors who were freshmen when I left. Different school each day this week & next to visit friends and also to watch some of the kids that I once coached who are now coaching.

If you know me, you know how much I love my daily walks. Pain forced me to stop them last Sept. Finally cleared to start walking with some very strict guidelines (1 mile max at 2.5mph for now) happy to be out walking. Mental and physical therapy all in one!

To Hillgrove today to see one of my all-time favorites. It would take hours and the better part of a 12 pack to tell the entire story, but Coach Trey Rowe, M. Ed. holds a very special place in my heart. Pud- impressed by what I saw on the field today and am so proud of you. Love you, kid.

Visited the Tigers of Douglas County today and got a 2 for 1 special! John Farmer (2005) and Terrance Lindley (2009) played for me in the Hiram days. Loved getting to hear these 2 teach the game today. Love you guys and so proud of you both.

Such a well planned out week of visits completely shat upon by the weather. Looks like my visits will extend in to summer!

I didn’t get to see everyone I wanted to, but so good to get to see everyone I did see at Central tonight for the spring scrimmage. Thanks everyone for coming down to see me!

The fun “Demented Turtle” has become a regular at PT and has kicked my tail. I’m not graceful on flat ground and you want me balancing on a ball? I feel stitches coming! I abhor the Demented Turtles.

To any athlete I ever coached who ever got punished with my very favorite punishment of all time (wall sits), please know that the physical therapist got your revenge today. Legs may be shaking for the rest of the day.

88 days after hip labrum reconstruction, freedom day has arrived with my full release to resume normal activities! With how I feel now, compared to before I don’t know how I made it through the last 2 years. So thankful for the expert care from my surgeon & his staff. Pain free!

4 mile walk this morning in 1hr & 9 mins. Cannot tell you how mentally clearing it was. Long way to go with strength and stamina to get back down to 4mph but damn it felt good to get out and sweat.

Slid by padded camp today. Great to see the last of the remaining Paulding County Football guys and all of the Central Football players and get some much needed hugs. Keep working, gents. Love you all.

A trip that is a year and a half over due, but finally got to come up to NYC to spend a few days with my oldest. I love this city more every time I come.

At the top of Rockefeller Center overlooking the entire city thinking of how many people are down there and staring at a sea of concrete when I had the thought….Where in the hell do these guys practice football????

NY through the eyes of an artist has been unbelievable. I saw NY from every angle, perspective & view. I will never see the city the same again. 4 days 27.1 miles walked 57789 steps. Great conversations with my oldest as he showed off his city. Hip is very tired but held up well

If you haven’t yet watched Happy Gilmore 2, take your expectations and lower them. Like through the floor lower them. Absolutely awful.
