Good coaching looks calm on the surface. But underneath…it’s adjusting & designing. It’s not loud, but it’s relentless.

How hard you play? Can you execute a rotation or offensive set? These are more important than points, rebounds or minutes. As I watch games today you can tell kids who only care about stats and those will are willing to do the little things. Stand out in what you can control.

His grandad left an old bucket of balls at the batting cages they used to visit with this note on them… I’m not crying, you’re crying 🥺⚾

Players, it’s not scoring points that gets you a scholarship. Many can do that. It’s are you more elite than most and can you fit your game in with 4 other players and execute. Verse other good players, are you still you? Does what you do at the HS level, translate to the college

The longer i watch sports i realize that winners win & losers lose.. just follow kids throughout their lives.. winners at a young age win when they get older. Not sure why that isn't a question that coaches ask when recruiting? 😳

Also, team work, making extra passes, running good offensive sets, solid defensive principles, all important to winning games at the next level

Also, getting a bucket is easy.. everyone at the next level can do that. Who can play the game? Understands the game, those are the ones who succeed at the next level

This is an amazing outlook on playing time Young players watch this “Stop trying to blame it on the coaches..what are you doing to give the coaches confidence to put you on the court?” (Via Coach Mac 🏀 🎥)

Structure with flexibility. Understanding the game & getting the shot they want, not the one the defense wants.. big difference

Great shooters are gym junkies. There's no way to become a great shooter without putting in hours and hours of hard work on your shot.
