Had a very tall athlete squat 315 today. It’s something about the smile after hitting those weight milestones that doesn’t get old.

You want studies? Hit PubMed or corner a doctor at a cocktail party.I’m purposely sharing unorthodox advice that worked for real bros in real life. Not endorsing or discouraging—just passing on info from the bros who did it. Bro Science Bulking. Let’s roll: 🧵 ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Soreness isn’t the goal nor is it an indicator of a “good” training session. If the goal is to get stronger, slight soreness might be common in the beginning but not all the time Continuous soreness = Poor Recovery

You don’t train to build fatigue. But you will get fatigued if you’re training hard enough to adapt. That’s not a bug—it’s the process. Manage it. Don’t fear it. And when it’s time to peak, then you recover to reveal the monster you built.

Conditioning is the most butchered aspect of sports. Instead of understanding the game demands, coaches run because “we won in 92 doing this”

Don't get me wrong. I love looking smooth in drills. And if you want time to look flashy on IG for likes also go ahead. But at some point, athletes ALSO have to learn what gets from A to B the fastest (ANY POSITION and ANY SPORT). Stop dancing or know when to at least.

MOST “trainers” you see are unqualified, lowly held accountable guys & gals who used to play sports, who are leveraging the low barrier of entry associated with our field. “Nice” people sell really shitty training every day because they know you don’t know what to look for.

Louie Simmons on Conditioning for Football Players… “Football is a knock you out, back up, knock you out, back up sport. When you run gassers, you turn explosive athletes into endurance athletes.” You must train the correct energy systems for success in Sport!🙌🏻
