Culture doesn't change when coach tells a player he's wrong. It changes when players tell other players: "no that's not how we do things here"

Effort is the highest form of respect. Not just for yourself or your coaches, but for the game & every player who built that standard before you. Respect the game. Show up. Compete. Empty the tank. One day the noise all fades & your effort is all that remains. That’s your legacy.

PLAYER-LED TEAMS: ✅ set the standard ✅ exemplify the standard ✅ continually communicate the standard ✅ demand the best from their teammates ✅ hold everyone accountable to the standard ✅ self-correct before the coaches need to do it ✅ refuse to accept excuses and losing

What do coaches look for in a player? "Game Changers". A player making more positive plays consistently each game. Little things like Fielding %, Pitcher K-Walk Ratio, QAB, OBP%, + Energy/Effort. Hitting is important, but it's the little things collectively that win 🥎 games.
