The Boston Irish Famine Memorial was unveiled in Boston 25 years ago today to mark the 150th anniversary of the Great Famine. Thousands of Irish refugees, including Patrick Kennedy, migrated to Boston to escape the Potato Famine. His great-grandson would end up being JFK.
