High level baseball isn’t for everybody. And that’s ok. It’s an EVERY day thing. You have got to be an EVERY day guy. If you aren’t, it’ll chew you up and spit you out. Baseball is hard. Don’t make it harder by not providing the effort that it requires.

Need arms for the 2nd half of the Prospect League starting on July 1st. Price drop!! DM!! We do NOT need position players at the moment.

Baseball is hard. And we found a way to win a back and forth game. Proud of the boys. Second half starts tomorrow! Back to 0-0. Go time!!

I’ve been lucky to have really good players and really good assistant coaches. I’m just along for the ride. Back to work tomorrow.

How many guys are going to be left in the portal when school starts in August? On top of those guys - all of the NAIA and JUCO guys who say they’re in the “portal” as well. How many good baseball players will not be playing baseball next spring?

When your playing career is done and you’re sitting at a wedding talking to your former teammates - you won’t remember the wins and losses. The big wins and loses? Sure. You’ll remember: - bus rides (mafia) - hotels - going to that nasty buffet because your coach is crazy -

It has been a huge 24 hours for the Wildcats. We just got better in a lot of ways!! A middle of the order bat and outfielder is ALL IN. A defensive DUDE behind the plate is ALL IN. Who’s next?! #GoWild

The game of baseball is changing. My “rules” as a head coach are a little different than my 7th year. I use to say no to earrings and necklaces. I even looked at hair length, etc. Not anymore - let that personally shine!! I’m even coming around to backwards hats. Maybe.. But

This. I wish this was the standard. If something doesn’t change, in my opinion, then summer leagues will start disappearing.

Auto ejection in college baseball, by the way. Our players will always try and emulate the next level. Stand offs, bat flips, what they’re wearing, etc. If it’s a part of our game, it needs to be a part of our game at every level.

ADVICE TO YOUNG COLLEGE COACHES PART 1: When recruiting, don’t get discouraged from being told no. You’re going to be told no more often than you are yes. Especially at the smaller levels. Keep showing up, calling, texting and finding your guys. Build those relationships.

FIRED UP to welcome Michael Alvarez as our new Graduate Assistant Coach. The Wildcat 9 just got a ton better. Coach Alvarez will work with our hitters and infielders. The time to be a Wildcat is now!! Better jump on board. #GoWild
