High school football should adopt knee pad rules in the same way as college and pro football rules. They do nothing. You can’t change my mind. But high school refs will be bored because they love picking on players for wearing knee pads that are too high.

This might be the dumbest play of the year

All good defense is just creative problem solving. The coaches who've been good at solving problems in ways the players can execute will always be good at it.

A successful high school coach in our area used to tell younger coaches: “Don’t worry about winning games; win the kids.  If you win the kids, the games will take care of themselves.”

Great look a couple weeks ago from mostly the JV defense (with 2 varsity) at a contact camp.
