I think the transition to D1 softball is hard because travel ball presents our level as the “reward” when in reality it’s a challenge of 20-hour weeks, 6 am lifts, study hall, community service and competing against 21 & 22 yr old women. It’s not all photo shoots and free shoes.

Good pitching always beats good hitting, but good pitchers still make mistakes. It’s the job of the hitter to hit the mistake and be willing to grind out the at bat until you get it. If you don’t a great pitch to hit, tip your cap and move on to the next AB.

Whoever is bringing out the best in you, keep riding with them. The best isn’t always that “good feeling” sometimes it’s those hard conversations that help you grow. Understand the difference between constructive criticism & negativity; there’s a big difference ✅
