Pretty good winter in the SWAL. Mineral Point won state in wrestling for the 13th time. Cuba girls are back at state. Mineral Point, Southwestern and Darlington are all at sectionals in boys hoops.

We have been working on this fixer upper for a few years now. Most of the inside is decent now. Last year, we did the roof and put up a garage. We have finally got around to replacing siding and some windows.

This stuff on wings is the real deal.

Pretty cool that 4 guys from WI wrestled for national titles tonight. Unfortunately, zero of them wrestle at UW. It would be sweet if Bucky could recruit its own state.

Congrats Mr. Hendrickson on a job well done. Our kidd went nuts watching this match. It's great seeing pride in our country from tremendous student athletes.

Annual staff versus students basketball game tomorrow. I hope the AED is tested/checked during pre game. Staff substitutions should be like hockey. No waiting until next dead ball or some of the staff may not make it. Go birds.

The nephew has got a couple young pigs that he will show this summer at the fair. He said he is naming them Jake and Elwood. I hope he puts sunglasses on them this summer when he shows them.

My old man Robert "Booby" McGranahan has passed. He lived life on his terms. Booby wasn't going to win any father or husband of the year awards but he was endearing. I hope his time in heaven is filled with poker, brandy, & hitting the Monday night over. We're going to miss him!

One of my Dads favorite stories was the night that he picked off Mineral Point 5 times. Then the state record. He said that him and Bob Finley were playing corner. Every time Point went to pass they looked at Finley and realized they still had a better chance throwing at my Dad!

My first time seeing this. My great grandfather Dale and his brother Homer farmed north of town on 23 their entire lives. They retired and sold out in 1970. This is the auction advertisement. Stauffachers bought the land and buildings and their family still owns it today.

Closed on our new house this morning. Today also happens to be our 10th anniversary. The wife complains every year that I only buy her flowers and nothing else. Well...today was different. Now she only has to wait another 10 years for me to loosen up the wallet again.

Just paid off our house. Most people enjoy paying off debt. It just feels like you are winning. But...cars depreciate. Student loans are pesky even with low interest rates. A paid off house is winning mentally and financially. Make real estate appreciation your friend.
