For '28/'27 and even '26 grads there is almost zero reason to attend a showcase this summer UNLESS your parents are rich or you just want to see what it is like. Nobody is looking at 28/27 and not many are getting after '26. Go to a local camp and get instruction! NCSA Baseball

One of my favorite clients told me his old man was worried he might be selling himself short by going D3. On the flip side, maybe looking at a higher level, not being valued, and not playing would sell himself short of a great college experience.#perspective NCSA College Recruiting NCSA Baseball

Schools in the same conference usually recruit on similar timelines and are very similar in a lot of ways. If you are interested in one school that has a spot available, jump into their conference as well. Great way to increase the # of schools you can attack! NCSA Baseball

You don't need to go to baseball showcases or camps to get verified numbers. If you can get video of a 60 on a football field, ball off a tee and thrown ball with radar gun in view of the camera the video won't lie. NCSA Baseball

Have the courage to talk to your coach privately about lack of playing time? Be sure it's "What more can I do to help the team" as opposed to "I want more playing time". Also, don't get sucked in with the guys complaining at the end of the bench. It's a bad look! NCSA Baseball

Baseball coaches are less worried about your metrics than you think they are. If you are in a general range, you should be fine. Worry more about being athletic, explosive, and capable of producing against quality competition. NCSA Baseball

When posting video for coaches to get a feel about your abilities, it is important to step back and ask yourself "If I was a coach and saw this video, could I determine whether this player would be a fit for my program". High quality video is very important. NCSA Baseball

Quality outreach to coaches in the recruiting process is important. They hold the keys to the castle and don't need you. Lot of good ball players out there. If you are writing copy/paste type emails and DMs it isn't going to work. Garbage in....garbage out! NCSA Baseball

College baseball games can be a lot of fun to watch in person. Watching practice is even better. Watching the speed and tempo along with the interactions taking place between coaches and players can give you great insight about that program and level of ball. NCSA Baseball

Lot of players choosing schools anticipating they will transfer. Do yourself a favor and try to make the best decision you can the first time. If you act like you can't transfer, the chances of making the right decision will likely increase. NCSA Baseball

This is the time of year where a lot of players have to make the decision about how badly they want to play baseball knowing they will not get a chance at their "perfect school". It comes down to how important the chance to play college baseball is to you. NCSA Baseball

Amazing how many people ask "Can I accept and then decline an offer if I get an offer from a better school?". Yes you can, but do you really want to play for or be mentored by a coach that would make an offer to a kid who is already committed? NCSA Baseball
