The Gainesville Red Elephant Boys Basketball program is long, athletic, and it showed. Good morning matchup for these two Northeast GA programs. College coaches will surely be lined up Courtside for this one during the 11 am #GBCALive

‘26 Kevin Curtis is a name many have heard over the years. It’s hard not to since he is a legit 7-footer with wiry limps. He is the defensive anchor for Gainesville. His body has improved which says he is spending time in the weight room. This has generated a level of confidence

Final score: 53-45, with the Gainesville Red Elephants taking the win over North Oconee Titans Basketball . This was a high-level summer showdown between two of North Georgia’s—and the state’s—top programs. Hopefully, we get to see these two powerhouses meet again during the regular season as

Kevin White controlled a game loaded with college prospects. He worked the pick-and-roll, hitting his bigs for easy buckets, found his shooters off the lift, and scored with floaters and pull-ups. His defensive pressure stood out—he had a tough matchup and he took it personal.

Charlie Gersmehl was solid in Gainesville’s 53-45 win over North Oconee. He stretched the defense with a couple of midrange jumpers, scored around the basket with soft hooks, and rebounded well—quickly getting the ball out to start the break.

Brandon Nelson 6’3 G Gainesville 2026 Good 2 way play in win over North Oconee. Knocked down some big 3s and showed ability to get to the rim. Was also tasked to guard best player on opp team and gave the same efforts on that end.

Kevin Curtis 6’10 F 2026 Gainesville Can be a big time impact player and his size completes a well rounded Gainesville group. Def a live watch player vs box score read. Huge defensive presence in win over North Oconee.

2026 PG KJ White was exceptional last week in helping Gainesville go 5-1 between their time at the #RHSummerLeague and GBCA Team Camp. Few defended the ball as well as him. On offense his speed was a big asset. Averaged 13.5 PPG at LakePoint. kevin white Gainesville Red Elephant Boys Basketball

Brandon Nelson 6’4 G 2026 AC Georgia One of the more lethal 2 way guards in the state it was BN offensive package that was catching my attention today. Smooth dribble pull ups, aggressive down hill and a consistent bucket.

OTR Breakout Camp ‘29 Jaxton Trammell is one of those kids you ought to track consistently over the next few years. 6-5, strong frame, quick feet. Probably most productive in the lane right now, but has a perimeter ceiling that is interesting. Gainesville Red Elephant Boys Basketball
