I am perfectly fine with dealing Franklin and Cruz for Soroka. Franklin not on 40 man and has a lot of outfielders ahead of him. Cruz is a flyer. This is not a bad deal for the Cubs.

Soroka feels like a guy the Cubs believe will benefit greatly from a change of scenery, particularly if their D can help him get closer to his peripherals. Not likely to move the needle, but more of a depth piece with a bigger move in mind.
