At what point do we call a spade a spade and cancel STAAR this year Greg Abbott? Seems absurd at this point to try and assess our students in such a superficial way. Not to mention all the needless test prep teachers & admin are frantically worried about before test day...

I never thought my students would love a cardboard cutout this much. Our writing prompt was about George Washington so this student moved him next to his desk for inspiration 😂

Here is another George update...a student made him a necklace and put a mask on him. This is the best 30 dollars I’ve ever spent on my classroom.

My main worry is always losing my students’ attention or having them dislike history but I know I’m doing something right when they ask if my class is shorter than the rest because it flies by. That lets me know they are engaged and entertained. #winning #LoveMyLISD
