Truth #2: Not everything is real interest Generic emails and flashy camp invite graphics don't mean you're getting recruited by a school. Real interest is when you're having real conversations with coaches.

Truth #4: You won't get "discovered" at camps They're not using camps to discover new talent. They're evaluating kids they already know about.

Truth #7: Division 1 or bust thinking will leave you broke. I've seen kids turn down D2 full rides waiting for a D1 offer that never comes. Then they end up with nothing. It's okay to have the dream of D1. But don't pass up life changing opportunities either.

Truth #8: Grades matter. Doesn't matter how fast you run if you can't qualify academically. Coaches won't even look at you without the grades.

Truth #9: The transfer portal has changed everything. Coaches can now fill roster spots with proven college players instead of taking chances on high school kids. The bar is higher than ever.
