PLAYERS: Paying attention to someone is a sign of respect. You might disagree w/the person, be bored, frustrated, or dislike what's being said, but you can still show respect & demonstrate what kind of CHARACTER YOU HAVE. It says more about YOU than it does the person talking!!!

July 25-July 28 | 8:00-11:00 am Madison Basketball Courts We encourage all incoming Madison athletes to attend this summer camp. Camp is a great way to improve your skills for upcoming tryouts and it will let you know what to work on over the summer.

I’ve been asked why emphasize athletics if only a few go on & play in college. The way I see it, HS athletics is about the experience, then the opportunities. Like showing, not every animal makes the sale, but that doesn’t mean kids didn’t learn valuable lessons in the process.

Players: During recruiting college coaches will ask these questions to your coach: *What’s their GPA? *How hard do they practice? *Do they love the game? *How are their parents? *Are they a good teammate? *Do you enjoy coaching them? *What are their priorities? Do they party?

Really enjoying learning from Trenia Tillis Hoard at the THSCA conference. Taking back some great drills for the girls and building up my mindset. Ready for the year.

If you have a former coach who you can still call, Snap, Facebook, text, FaceTime, etc. then you had a coach who put you first & created lifelong, caring relationships with players. That isn’t always the case, so consider yourself lucky & keep those relationships close to heart!
