Thrilled to see our article on 'The Woodcutter' has been published in the National Trust's Cultural Heritage Magazine! It was such a fun project to be involved in last year and wonderful to have the chance to work with so many fantastic people. nt.global.ssl.fastly.net/binaries/conte…

If anyone is in York next Saturday, do join us at 5pm for a #YorkGeorgianFestival tour led by Rachel Feldberg, following in the footsteps of regency diarist, Jane Ewbank. A wonderful way to look at York afresh through the eyes of the past! georgianyork.org.uk/events-1/famil…

So pleased to see this has been published! It was a joy to write articles for two members of the Wrest Circle, Lady Margaret Heathcote and Lady Mary Gregory, both brilliant and intelligent women.

#Twitterstorians, I was thinking of developing a paper around sensory experiences of gardens and their impact on physical/mental health. Is this an area anyone else is thinking about? If so, please do let me know if you'd be interested in putting together a panel!

A lovely letter to read: in 1753 Lady Mary Capell declares she is 'quite Flower-mad', as she describes being taught to paint flowers by the famous botanical artist, Georg Dionysius Ehret. Her own beautiful drawings are now in The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.

Spectacular York Georgian Society concert last night, hearing Iestyn Davies perform Handel's Italian Cantatas in the atmospheric setting of York Mansion House. Wonderful introductory talk by Dr David Vickers too.
