My third north western Yellow Browed Warbler of the autumn was seen today around Borranās Park in Cumbria, courtesy of Harry Coghill. The bird showed well on off but never called, and I still couldnāt grab a photo of it. Cumbria Bird Club

A Dunlin at Borrans Park this morning found by GlobalWarmingImages not often we get waders in the Lake District and especially not on the deck! Also a wigeon S & 5 whooper swans N. Two patch ticks in 1 day taking me to 116! #cumbriabirds Full list here - tinyurl.com/5ezjvay9

A Halifax birding day out with Harry Coghill with some Pintail madness! 1st went to Ringstone Edge to twitch two drakes found earlier, as it was a Halifax tick! Found 4 birds present! Then checked Elland GP and had 3 females fly over with a Wigeon! Just one other Halifax 2024 record!

Amazing views of a Drake smew tophilllow today on the D res. Also 1st winter little gull at North Duffield Carrs & an interesting duck associating with the wigeon (a wigeon hybrid?) but no sign of the American wigeon in the area. ebird.org/checklist/S207⦠ebird.org/checklist/S207ā¦

A pleasant few hours Draycotebirding with Dad. Not been there for years! Ferruginous Duck showed well.

Great to team up with Spurn Bird Observatory in a joint Motus Tracking Project on Jack Snipe (supported by British Birds). The first birds were tagged in the #LDV last night and we're now looking forward to seeing what results this project unearths - thanks to everyone involved.
