Building on a long-term partnership, in a fresh way. Shirley Botchwey, looking forward to working with you to equip more women and youth to trade, drive value-added trade and investment, and implement the African Continental Free Trade Agreement. You can count on International Trade Centre (ITC).

In South Africa, kicking off the countdown to the first-ever Global SME Ministerial with Nelson Muffuh of United Nations in South Africa. Resident Coordinators are key to translating UN values into impact on the ground, including for small businesses. Full steam ahead to the Ministerial in July!

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." This African proverb holds true as we move forward on the #SMEMinisterial in July, convening 50+ countries. Hosted with Department of Small Business Development led by Stella Tembisa Ndabeni, with support from United Nations in South Africa led by Nelson Muffuh.

Ahead of the Commonwealth Trade Ministers Meeting in Namibia, great chat with Deputy Prime Minister Natangwe Ithete and Amb. Julia Imene on shared goals, from women's empowerment to critical minerals. Fun fact: Jamaica hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 1975.

Women in Mongolia have long worked and learned alongside men. It's fitting the first MOU we sign with a business support organization under our #WEIDEFund with WTO is with МҮХАҮТ. With Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Tur-Od Lkhagvajav, we'll work to see more women benefit from digital.

The world is changing and Uganda is rising to meet it. Sustainable business is coming through investment climate improvements, trade facilitation and e-commerce. Led by Ministry of Trade Ug with EU in Uganda support, we're targeting growth through small businesses, led by women and youth.

Wishing you all the best, Achim Steiner, and thank you for your service and commitment to development. As we as the UN navigate the changing environment, we recommit to making sustainable, inclusive development a reality for all.

Whenever I have the privilege of seeing our in-country work, I make it a point to connect with the wider UN family. With the UN Country Team in Uganda. Looking forward to building on our work towards sustainable, trade-led development, Resident Coordinator Leonard Zulu.

Now’s the time to strengthen trade and investment partnerships, at a time of unprecedented changes. The African-Irish relationship is long-standing, with a long-term vision. Thanks to Michael Gaffey and Irish Aid for your ongoing support of Africa’s development and International Trade Centre (ITC).

Tarifs douaniers américains: "Tous les pays ne subissent pas le même impact. Tous ces facteurs touchent le plus durement ceux qui ont le plus à perdre, comme les pays moins développés. Dans le contexte actuel, une tempête parfaite se prépare." Pamela Coke-Hamilton, International Trade Centre (ITC)

Economic uncertainty has real-world consequences. As I briefed the United Nations Geneva press corps, a perfect storm is brewing—as trade becomes more unpredictable, aid is shrinking. A dual shock for developing countries in trade and aid. Here's what they can do: intracen.org/news-and-event…

US tariffs impact: "This move actually extends the period of uncertainty, undermining long-term investment and business contracts. All these factors hit those with the most to lose, the hardest. In short, in today's context, a perfect storm is brewing." Pamela Coke-Hamilton, International Trade Centre (ITC)
