We’re a small team of about 25 athletes, but we have 10 coaches. The goal is to grow our team to 100+ athletes. Through 3 meets we have had 15 PR’s, 15 new Top 5 Performances and 4 school records. We are on the rise! #MountUp

Sophomore Kaleb Fitzgerald (Roger Bacon HS) threw for a huge nearly 1 meter PR in the Weight Throw of 13.84m! Kaleb is now #4 on our All-Time Indoor Men’s Weight Throw Performance List! Kaleb has PR’d every meet this year and is over 3 meters better than last year! #MountUp

At our conference Championship we had 21 total athletes compete. We had 17 PRs, 8 new Top 5 All-Time Marks, 3 School Records, 5 All-Conference honors, and 2 athletes who were Conference Champions in their event. #MountUp

This season as a whole we had 30 athletes compete, 27 of them achieved PRs. Everyone who practiced with us for the full year, experienced at least 1 PR in their events! I’ve never been part of a season where we had that much growth! These athletes and coaches are truly special!

It wasn’t until I took my team full of minorities to Cracker Barrel & our Black Assistant Coach pointed out how unrepresentative the walls were of all the people we had brought to the restaurant that. I can’t help but detect a bit of sarcasm in her voice at the end.
