Ms Brady took her 5th year Geography class to Salthill to practice their Coastal Fieldwork skills in preparation for their LC Project Students completed a set of tasks including measuring the beach profile, completing a long shore drift study, as well as a rock study & wave study

5th Years visited the School of Biological & Chemical Sciences Ollscoil na Gaillimhe | University of Galway for: tours of research clusters, discussions about instrumentation, talks from postgrads, experience with Infrared Spectroscopy & a 'chilly' liquid nitrogen demo. Congratulations to our U15 Soccer team who qualified for the FAI Schools Connacht final after victory over Calasanctius College on penalties. Heroines on the day were Kayla McDonnell, with the all important goal, & Caoimhe O'Connor in goals who saved 3 penalties in the shootout.

Yuhan Xue will represent Ireland in this year’s EOES in Croatia. YuHan is studying Biology, Chemistry&Physics. More than 20 countries will compete with Yuhan chosen as 1 of just 2 biologists. We wish YuHan, a fantastic role model, the best of luck on this exciting opportunity.

Congratulations to 5th yr YuHan Xue & the Irish team in the Science Olympiad in Croatia last week. The Irish team were very competitive & obtained a bronze medal. Well done to all involved especially our own Yuhan. What an inspiration to all her classmates & the school community.

Congrats to Molly Coyne & Zia Waring who took part in the International Competition for Young Debaters in Cambridge. The only Irish team selected, they did brilliantly to win one of their rounds. We are so proud of Molly & Zia for their super achievement. Well done girls!

The 5th years had a brilliant day climbing Diamond Hill on Wednesday. Thanks to Mr Hanly for organising and to all of the teachers who accompanied the students!

Congrats to John Mark Brown, Theo Martin, Eoin Mullery skgaa & John Clancy, Conor O’Flaherty, Seamus Hayes, Dara Walsh, David Walsh Maigh Cuilinn who played out a draw in the Féile final. In a sporting gesture, both teams decided to share the trophy rather than go to penalties.

Our u15 girls made history yesterday by becoming the 1st girls' soccer team in the history of Coláiste Éinde to win a Connacht title. Overcoming a strong Coláiste na Coiribe side, scorers on the day were Kayla McDonnell (2) Lucy Lynch, Eadaoin Cleary, Sorcha Keane & Ciara Faherty

Congratulations to Mr Costello & our U16 soccer team who won Connacht A Shield Final beating Pres Headford 2-1 on the day. A stellar performance in goal by an injured Ruben Berger kept the goals to a minimum. Goals from Sean O' Halloran and Darragh Keane secured the victory.

Another fantastic win this week for Coláiste Éinde as our Juvenile footballers took home the Connacht title on Thursday! Well done to Mr Conway, Mr Gormley & Mr Ruane and especially to all the players who did the school proud! Coláiste Éinde abú!
