Wait ! What ?

Is there a simple way to see that for a non-constant polynomial with coefficients in R that the complex roots come in conjugate pairs? In other words, if p(z)=0 the p(w)=0, where w is the complex conjugate of z. Ideas? How accessible can this be for secondary school students?
