🚨 BREAKING NEWS! 🚨 - Water Commission falls short 🔗- bit.ly/4o3Bldi The Water Commission's final report ultimately offers “the illusion of change – not real change.”💢 Instead of ending pollution-for-profit, it props up the broken privatised model that caused this

A missed opportunity & yet another failure by government to take responsibility for the consequences of privatization. They’ve let down the bill payer, the river, and all the species that depend on her. bit.ly/4lX1AAJ

Kathryn from the ⁦Chesham Town Council⁩ explains the workings of the newly installed sluice. This will enable the control of levels in the main river Chess and the bypass channels. This will reduce flood risk and support habitat. Thanks to the ⁦Environment Agency⁩ for attending.

In Chesham last evening we were joined by staff of the Environment Agency. It's important that the public know of the good work done by the EA. I am one of the fiercest critics of parts of the agency but supportive of the work carried out on the ground by highly talented people.

Who needs beavers when you have water voles this size. This is the recently restored section of the River Chess, on Chesham Moor. Picture taken from the newly installed Beechey Bridge, thanks to Mick Finn visiting from Lincoln. ⁦Chilterns National Landscape⁩ ⁦Chiltern Society
