Today, on #DenimDay, we stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. Our staff at the Department of Cultural Affairs and our Materials for the Arts program proudly wore denim to show our support.

This year, Laurie Cumbo also took part in the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence’s (Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence) campaign by wearing the “Consent Cape,” a symbolic piece designed by Celestino Couture to raise awareness alongside Denim Day NYC.
