#DYK the cardiovascular disease death rate among African Americans is 34% higher than the overall U.S. population? This disparity is due to cost barriers to quality health care, a higher poverty rate, less access to quality food, and other factors. #AmericanHeartMonth

Inclusion in the workplace can look many ways. Whether its openly recruiting disabled employees, adding braille and lighted pathways in the office, or asking staff how they prefer to work, making strides toward an inclusive culture should be a priority for every company.

Today we honor Rosa Parks – the mother of the civil rights movement. She fought for the rights of women and African Americans, believing “differences of race, nationality or religion should not be used to deny any human being citizenship rights or privileges.” #WomensHistoryMonth
