I would be grateful if you could please share this vacancy with anyone you think may be interested! We are so busy at the moment and we really need a full team in place! 🙏 I am happy to have a chat with anyone who would like more details on the role. 🙂

We see this with some of the carers we support. It is totally outrageous and the Government & DWP should be ashamed of themselves. theguardian.com/society/2024/a…

CommuniCare is part of the Carers Partnership in Reading & we support unpaid Carers. What we see and hear is heartbreaking. These people need our support, our respect and our love, not to be treated like criminals! 😡 theguardian.com/society/2024/a…

From October 2018 - Sept 2023 70% of PIP appeals were successful - which means the DWP's decision to decline the claimants original PIP application was wrong! It takes nearly a year to get to appeal and is so stressful for these claimants - so many just give up!

Thank you Baroness Keeley of Worsley (also on BlueSky) for raising the need for a National Carers Strategy in the House of Lords this afternoon. While we welcome the Government’s commitment to cross-departmental working in support of carers, this falls well short of the strategy carers urgently need to see.
