Six students from each House will compete in our Thrive Games tomorrow. They'll spend an hour in Period 3 taking part in teambuilding activities including a general knowledge quiz and art-based challenges. Students: Please make sure you check Satchel for details. #Ambition

Students and staff cheered on our Congleton Sixth Form College and Staff yesterday in our House Rounders Tournament. Well done to everyone, particularly the winning team, Mandela! Runners up, Attenborough narrowly missed out on a win. Thank you to all our lower school helpers and supporters.

Our 2025 Thrive Games are underway and House teams are using all their knowledge of our school, values, routines and more to answer a host of questions from Miss McAleavy. If they get all the answers correct, they'll be able to find the secret password that leads to the prize!

Fantastic news! We've been awarded the 2024/25 Gold School Games Mark, which is the highest award from School Games, a government-led award scheme celebrating schools' commitment to developing competitive sport within their school and community. Well done, #TeamCHSPE CHS PE Dept!

With the temperatures set to be even higher tomorrow and Friday, students may choose to wear either their normal uniform without the blazer and tie or CHS PE kit and trainers. CHS kit ONLY, no substitutes will be permitted eg no Nike Pro/Lycra shorts, football tops, hoodies etc.

We welcomed the Eaton Bank Academy Rounders teams to CHS yesterday for a friendly fixture for Years 7 to 10. It was a great afternoon and there was lots of great match play on display by all year groups. Well done to everyone who took part. #TogetherInThePursuitOfExcellence

Students, Parents and carers: Due to a primary school event taking place at CHS after school today (Thursday 19th June), Cricket Club is cancelled. We will be back on as normal next week.

We are looking forward to meeting all our new Year 7 students when they join us for the New Intake Days next Thursday and Friday (26th/27th June). We'll be there to welcome you all at the gates - look for the staff in the blue jackets and they'll show you where you need to go.
