Last week, I was invited to the UK Animal Care Technician's Small Mammal workshop to present on nocturnal lighting systems. It was so lovely to catch up with old colleagues and talk about where my interests in stress first began.

The rewards of my nature friendly garden this evening include a nesting pair of sparrows looking for food, a group of sparrows dust bathing, the starlings tending to their nest, and goldfinches munching on dandelions- Such joy 🌱💛.

My evening got better with a little hello from this little munchkin.

My favourite time of year. Walking through the garden and seeing thousands of insects hovering and looking to the sky to see the insectivores swooping. We have 6 swifts regularly calling and flying around the house, I am willing a pair to take up our new swift box!
