Our Liverpool site visit as a part of the GroundsWell Consortium annual retreat was a walk along the waterfront led by the Canal & River Trust 🌊 We heard about the challenges of balancing the dock as a public space that is both welcoming for visitors and an asset for the community

We were delighted to welcome the apprentices from Harland & Wolff to #VictoriaPark yesterday 🙌 The team helped us and Belfast City Council to trim and weave the willow tunnel in the park 🌿 We really appreciate all the support from businesses on the Greenway 👏

We are delighted to be part of this group, meeting regularly with peers from across different organisations with a shared goal of how we can make our city greener 🌳 Thanks to Belfast Healthy Cities for facilitating this and we look forward to new collaborative work in the new year 🙌

We attended a systems mapping workshop this morning being led by GroundsWell Consortium mapping out the systems which lead to and can impact on violence against women and girls in public spaces Great to have the space and diverse organisations around the room to have this discussion

It has been amazing to be involved and speak to a diverse range of representatives from women’s advocacy groups to people working in health and policing, academics, statutory agencies and more. All working together to shape interventions that will make our public spaces safer 🙌

Thanks to Belfast Healthy Cities for inviting us to present at this quarters #GreeningtheCity group on some of our upcoming plans 🙌 This group brings together people from different sectors delivering work to make our city greener 🌳💚 So many fascinating conversations today!
