About this time a year ago I had arrived home. I had lost my seat in Parliament and - seemingly - everything I had worked all my adult life to achieve. Perhaps surprisingly my main emotion was relief. I was exhausted and mentally drained. The last couple of years in

These people are so thick. Why don’t they go to Gaza and see what welcome they get from the barbaric, medieval Islamist regime? They would fine their pronouns would be ‘was’ and ‘were’ pretty quickly.

Very sorry to hear Norman Tebbit has died. I was fortunate to count him as a friend. Norman was a true Thatcherite revolutionary. Lady T always acknowledged his importance to her success. He was always candid, direct and shrewd. Sometimes his honesty made others uncomfortable

This is a courageous article. All the more so because it essentially right. What was missing from the 7/7 commemorations spectator.co.uk/article/what-w…

This may be pedantic but it is annoying. It is not Starmer’s Government. He leads it. It is His Majesty’s Government. The constant use of ‘my Government’ is simply incorrect.

If I were a grassroots Tory member, I'd be fuming over Jake Berry - not the defection, but the fact that people with such a weak/transactional attachment to my party kept getting put in charge of it.

So Dale Vince how much are you voluntarily contributing to HMRC? You don’t need to wait. Assume you are putting extra in already as is your right

Liz Truss oh dear Liz. Not quite. You were part of the Cabinet that approved the relocation of the ARAP Afghans and the wider Home Office refugee scheme. The £7bn is the total cost of the total scheme. Not the ones involved in the leak. I’m “shocked” you cant remember your own role…..

As always excellent writing by James Heale Serious question though - why were 50 MPs not there?? The Party is vastly diminished in and out of Parliament. They need to be a team solidly behind Kemi Badenoch now. Showing up for the Leader’s end of term address is pretty basic.

Once more, BBC News (UK) – she didn't object to sharing a changing room with Upton because he was transgender; she objected to sharing a changing room with him because he's MALE. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

This is another good example of Mrs Thatcher actually caring rather than pontificating about caring like too many who followed her

Well well well. I remember this gentleman coming to Bournemouth to back the 2 Labour candidates. Sounds like he is - like so many - feeling conned.
