Wonderful to meet with UCD Global students during their study trip to Vietnam - conducting research with students from Hanoi University Faculty of International Studies. Topics including #ClimateActionNow and #LGBTI+ rights. The Embassy has supported these exchanges since 2016

The Embassy was delighted to welcome Minister Anne Rabbitte to 🇻🇳 last week. Minister had a short but busy visit, travelling to Hoa Binh to see Ireland’s support to ethnic minorities, visiting #VNU and the National Children’s Hospital in Hanoi, and meeting some of 🇮🇪’s diaspora.

Great way to kick off my visit to Vietnam today, I met with the Minister for Ethnic Minorities to discuss our continued support for ethnic minorities and other vulnerable groups. I then visited Vietnam's National University of Agriculture to sign a memorandum of understanding

The Ireland Fellows Programme-Vietnam and The Ireland Fellows Programme-Asia are now open for applications. These Fellowships provide an opportunity for Masters level study in a range of disciplines, from food science and engineering to law and humanitarian action.

I had the pleasure of visiting a number of Irish Aid funded projects in central Vietnam today and saw first hand the work organisations such as Plan International Ireland are doing to improve them lives of people in rural communities impacted by severe weather events.

Very informative visit to Irish Aid supported Mine Action Centre in Vietnam, run by RENEW and a great meeting with the team about their ordnance clearance programmes and commitment to educating children about the dangers of landmines.
